I am hopeing to make friends - and possibly more with one special person if he is out there and we can find each other - who enjoy working with horses and trail riding. I don\'t feel that\'s all there is worth doing, but I do think those things are well worth doing alot of.
I am a simple person, I think, though I do like my modern convieniences. I also like cooking over a campfire when the situation calls for it. I do not find it neccessary to pile on make-up and hairspray in order to walk out the door. Jeans are my idea of a fashion \"must\". However, I enjoy dressing up, too....when the situation calls for it. There are high heels parked next to my riding boots, though I haven\'t worn them in a very long time. Rubber boots are usually parked by the door.
I have never farmed, but I am teachable. I would love to operate a tractor and I know I can as I worked in construction all my young life. I drove dump trucks and trailers, the occasional payloader, too. A big dream is to grow and harvest my own hay.
I have a child and pets who make spontaneous travel, beyond weekend day trips or trips that can include them, pretty much out of the question.
Mostly I just want to do things with someone, an adult someone, even mundane things like the everyday chores that make the more adventurous stuff possible.
I love old houses and spent many years renovating and decorating them into warm and fully functional homes that maintained their charm and warmth. I can bang nails and wire plugs pretty well, but I can\'t measure worth a darn. Don\'t ask me for a mitered corner, lol. I\'ll also admit that I\'m a little tired of living with kitchen sinks on saw horses, or worse...doing dishes in the bathtub. It\'s OK for awhile, but...I guess my ambition has wanned a bit.
In my age group, most everyone in this area is married, and that\'s great for them, but third wheels are not very welcome. Seems if enough \"third wheels\" get together, though, you can end up with a great vehicle that can really go somewhere.
