I lost my farm in the 80\'s to a horde of locusts. They destroyed my trees and put me out of business. I got back into my old engineering job, but it doesn\'t meet my needs for working on the land. I have done most of the things connected with farm life, like building a cordwood house, building a pond and stocking it with fish, raising chickens, hogs, and growing corn, tomatoes. Repairing a tractor, sawing firewood for the Vermont Castings stove,restoring a spring house and installing a water system for the house. I have lived in the mountains of Virginia near Roanoke. I kept two horses when I was married.
Now that I am older, I have settled down with no more urges to roam. Just give me 50 watered acres and I will be in heaven.
