Lets clarify a few things right out the gate :)
1) This is a long profile, if long profiles scare you...run...now! (haha)
2) I have no intention of living in the remote wilderness, While I am pretty sure I could do that (and do it well) I am also pretty sure that MOST women would run...FAST! Besides, I like the occasional new movie, and dinner out (Not to mention REALLY good wine)
3) I am seriously looking for a partner to share my life (and dreams) with, someone that wants to build a future by my side.

This should give you enough info to decide if you care to read further, if not, I wish you luck in your search all the same!

I need to be up front here ladies,
I know right out of the gate that there are few of you out there that would appreciate/desire the lifestyle I am planning. (Many men could not do it either) That said, if you do not TRULY love the wilderness, do not see yourself being happy just being home, or, think all of your food should come from a grocery store, save yourself some time and stop reading now :)

To start with, I have a REALLY difficult schedule. I have split days off (Sunday and Wednesday) I get up VERY early for work (2 a.m.) and occasionally am gone for 15 hours a day. This means we will both have to work at it to make it work LOL. I am willing to, you need to be willing to as well.

What IS realistic? To most people, being "Realistic" is following the road most often taken, doing what others do and, staying within that mould. It is buying the house in the right neighborhood, having the car that is popular, joining the clubs others belong to, going to the gym to maintain that look. It is also agreeing with the trends of the day so you do not "Seem" out of touch or uncaring. The right clothes, the right vacations, the right restaurants, always following the norm. I am NOT realistic! If YOU are, we are not a match ;)

OK, lets make this REALLY simple. I am looking for a serious relationship, one that will hopefully lead to marriage (Yeah, the "M"word LOL (If you are going to live together, you might as well get married). Someone to join me in my next and final move up to (back to) Alaska. This adventure starts now, but the move is planned when my daughter graduates from high school in 2013, that means I will be moving there LOL.

I am training myself to do everything I will need to do to live the simplest life possible. This includes (but is not limited to):
Cheese making (6 batches done so far)
Canning (I have done this)
Meat preservation (I have now made my own bacon)
alternative power (Still learning)
gardening enough food to feed a family (I can do this now)
raising small livestock (Learning now, thinking chickens for fresh eggs this spring)
and, well, I think you get the picture.

If this does not interest you, we are NOT a match

While the land I/we buy MAY be close to town, it also may be a LONG drive/trip to and from town, if you have fears about living this way then we are NOT a match LOL

I/we will be building a cabin by hand, I am also looking into a Yurt for the first winter while I/we build that cabin LOL. I am not going to lie, it will be wet, cold, and rough to start out with.

and ladies...please... If I wanted coffee, I would go to Starbucks by myself! If you are concerned about being "Safe" then ask me as many questions as you would like up front, if you are still concerned, you are most likely not the woman I am looking for.
