I am a mountain girl all the way and love a slow paced life. I am currently a student getting a degree in Archival work. I hope to eventually work in a small town where I can watch over historic records, while still maintaining country living. I love laughter and found it to be the best medicine for the soul.

I have purposely stayed out of relationships for years as I have overcome some huge obstacles, but now my life is full of joy and positive energy that I am ready to go to the next step. No baggage here, nor drama. I am a one man woman and expect to find a one woman man. I am slow going, respect when we have our own space, especially since I have been a freebird for these last years.

I now wear a brace as my feet and ankles have weakened (probably from so much walking as I loved hiking!). Sometimes I use a cane, but when the brace is in the shop I use my walker. This does not stop me from being me!

I want to dance in the moonlight, watch the sun setting from a mountain top, feel the soft fur of a rabbit against my skin, smell the earth in the Fall, fall asleep in the rain. I will twirl around under the trees, run through puddles, and wake up in the middle of the night all giddy because of God's presence.

My hair is long, who says older women have to have short hair? My once slim body is misshapen as I had a massive tumor which has since been removed and I was recovering at the VA for 6 months. But it has turned out to be a blessing as I have been given a new life. I began college and just got my degree May 2012 in the Parks & Recreation concentration (recently!) and now working on my Masters.

I love people, but am a homebody. I like getting out at times when I can. I love camping and the outdoors. I can hike short distances when I have my brace (ah, no longer the long hauls). I love farming and being close to nature.
