About MissBridgey:
I grew up in Michigan, surrounded by gravel pits. My parents embraced a \"do it yourself\" lifestyle. We raised chickens, pheasants, ducks, geese, and had a pet billy goat named Rip Van Winkle. We had a large garden and produced a lot of our own food. I learned to fish as soon as I could stand, and grew up exploring and taking care of our small patch of earth. Parents sold the house to the gravel company when I was 15, and moved us to the suburbs.

Then I ran away to college and before I knew it, I had a masters in education and was teaching middle school science in Boston Public Schools. I loved living in the city but after the first few years I knew something was missing. This last summer, after returning from my third summer working on a fishing boat in ALaska, i realized I have had enough of city living. I enjoy hard work (working 18 hours straight does something crazy to you!) and really miss physical labor. Standing and talking all day is just not doing it for me.

I am seeing that my values and lifestyle desires do not work with where I am living now and I currently saving to move out of the city sometime within the next 2 school years. (June 2012 or 2013) I have looked at moving all over the country and I am leaning towards the midwest/west.

Here in boston I have a very large backyard garden, and I make a lot of my own foods from scratch. I love baking and I enjoy cooking. I am not a big TV watcher, I prefer being outside, baking, reading, or learning new hobbies. I am currently trying to learn to play the ukulele.

I love to laugh, sing, dance, joke, hike, help other people, and learn.

My secret fantasy is to have a dairy goat farm and a pet jenny.
