They're right, "City folks just don't get it." I cannot think of one thing about true country living I don't like. I don’t just mean spending an Indian Summer afternoon hiking in the woods or few long weekends a year camping at the lake. I mean LIVING the country lifestyle. I have notice several times that is it stated "I want to meet someone who understands this lifestyle." Well I get it. I milk my own cows then use that milk and cream to make cheese, butter, and ice cream. I raise my own meat. I enjoy going hunting and fishing. The rule at my house is... "You kill it, you clean it, you cook it, and you eat it." I have a small flock of fowl for eggs, meat, and down. I grow my own garden and put up the produce for the winter. I gather wild fruit for making jams, jellies, and sometimes even a little wine. I love sharing with my children the knowledge and values my homesteading grandparents shared with me. I welcome friendship of like minded folks. Male or female friends, alike.
