I was born and raised on the Mississipp Coast but I moved to Texas almost 12 years ago. During this time, I\'ve had to travel a lot with my work but now my feet are back on solid ground and I\'d prefer they be in the country! My Dad had a houseboat when I was growing up so I learned to have a love of nature at a very young age. Many of my Dad\'s family members had farms that I loved to visit to just walk through the rows of corn and see the potatoes plowed.
I may be a professional by trade but my love is growing plants and flowers. I\'m a very good southern cook and know how to pick butter beans and peas and blanche them to pack awy in the freezer. Don\'t think I\'m a plain, ole flip flop type gal cause even though I fit in down at Leroy\'s BBQ shack, I can dress up for a night on the riverwalk and converse with the best of them.
So many people around the country have said I remind them of Paula Dean. I smile and reply, \"...but I don\'t have her money\"! I\'m just me and never try to be anything I\'m not. I love life and try to live a Christian life, always looking for the good in everyone.
