Who I'm looking for:

I'm hoping to find friendship and a potential life partner to share the load, good times, family, and friends. Someone who has a personal relationship with God is essential. I will be happy to elaborate on that in future conversations if those ever come about. Someone who loves their family and enjoys a family get-together, a church social, or an evening hanging with friends. Someone who works hard, and enjoys life. Someone who takes care of himself, and enjoys taking care of others. Someone with a great smile, a compelling laugh, and a twinkle in his eye.

About me:
I seem to have taken to cooking very healthy in the past several years and that means chopping and cooking lots of vegetables and fruit. (I actually love to cook; lead me into a beautiful kitchen and I say, "Let me at it; what's in the pantry!") One of my goals is to create a "raised bed" garden in my backyard. I have also taken to baking my own bread on occasion since discovering my Aunt Pearl's yeast roll recipe. Does that bring back memories for you too? Obviously not the healthiest choice so I reserve those for special occasions.

I have lived in the Midwest (Indiana/Illinois) and have taken road trips through Iowa, which I think is beautiful, on my way to Colorado, which is spectacular! I also spent a few years in Kentucky, which has a lovely climate. This past Labor Day weekend I flew out to visit my younger daughter who teaches in Arizona, and I almost made it to see the Grand Canyon (maybe next time!) I enjoy a relaxing road trip by myself or with good company; taking time to stop and enjoy the journey.

I've had some interesting travel opportunities to Russia and the Ukraine, to Mexico, and to Thailand. All of these trips were an adventure for me and some of the more exciting moments in my life, but of course nothing makes me happier than being around my daughters (and my wonderful son-in-law) and/or my five (yes, five! bring 'em on!) grandchildren. They make life so rich.

I'll state right up front that I am not the least bit interested in wasting either your time or mine. Life is just too short and too important. I think that's what drew me to the "Farmer" dating site. Most of the farmers I've met in my lifetime (quite a few since I've been a farm wife before) are usually straight-up kind of people.
