I spent my 20s and 30s running away from a southern Kentucky farm and these days I am more interested in trying to find my way back. I spend my days as an educator (in the city) but have a sweet little cottage in the country that lets me reconnect to my rural roots.

I enjoy traveling - and do so a lot for my work - but more and more I enjoy slowing down. I am very curious ...like being creative ... not much for the couch but a good snuggle is fine. In my free time I like to garden. One of my favorite pasttimes is hitting the flea market scene. I like traveling the back roads and exploring new small towns, I can't pass a u-pick or farm stand without stopping. I am also constantly into a project of some sort - now it is landscaping. I value a rural lifestyle - peace, tranquilty, nature, animals, but I am not adverse to some popular urban past times - like movies, theatre, dining.

Finally, while I split my time between Michigan and Kentucky, there are some southern traits I cannot shake ... I have failed to learn to appreciate the merits of unsweetened tea...sweet tea for me.

Looking for someone who is sensitive, a good sense of humor, honest, likes simple pleasures, especially gardening, or nature. Must be a good talker (and listener).
