Well, I really don't know how to start to tell you about me. I hate to sound like a bragger, or a liar, but I'm a Southern boy from a good Southern family with high moral and character. I don't have a lot of education, but I do consider myself well-read. I grew up around farming, and in early adulthood was involved in farming (beef cattle and horses) I'm thinking about retiring between now and the next couple of years as I have been a union piledriver/ carpenter for about 30 years. I've got a pretty good pension built up and I figure I'd retire while I've still got plenty of time to do what I want now. I have raised both of my boys, took custody since divorce back in 1990. Both boys grew up straight and strong, well schooled in their crafts, a joy to work with and to be around. (the youngest son is the one in the pictures) Family is very important to me.

I do expect to work and do something up until the day I die. But that doesn't mean for the man driving piling. I wouldn't be afraid of keepin' up the farm, if that's what it fell upon me to do. I am a certified welder and can run equipment. I worked the mill-rights trade, so I understand machinery and how it works. But enough about work: I like to play too.

I enjoy canoeing, calm or white water, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, spotting deer and elk trails, also enjoy pigeons. I am a kind, good hearted, generous, and not a very judgmental kind of guy and I know the difference between bull-shit and bull-shittin'. Now, I may do a little bull-shittin', but I stay away from bull-shit. I'm a loyal and strong as captain Woodrow McCall (ever see Lonesome Dove?) And as adventuresome and fun-loving as Captain Gus McCray. I read a bunch of the girls say you can clean 'em up and take 'em into town. I feel the same about myself, but I don't like to spend much time there.

I don't do the computer thing well, this has taken several hours to do. I don't even do cell-phones. Right now I am deck-boss on the duty barge, Miller driving pile off of the Navy Base, so I'm not home but every 3-4 days and then I'm not home long. I wished I could type with all of my fingers, but I can't. So if you leave a phone number, I will call. If you get a tongue-tied fellah on the other end of the line, it's just me. Keep in mind that I am a little shy when comes to matters of the heart.
