Former organic dairy farmer still on the farm. I teach playwriting in Brooklyn two days a week but I haven't written a play myself in a while. This is either because I midwife about fifty student plays a year, or because theater is about human behavior and I now seem to be more interested in plants and how things work. My current menage consists of a border collie (my familiar) a cat, a handful of chickens, their enthusiastic rooster and two donkeys, one standard, one miniature.Both sons are grown. The elder is married and has two wonderful children. I like to cook, build stone walls, hike, listen to music. I speak good French, lousy Spanish and can manage greetings in Kiswahili. I meditate.
