Hi--

I recently read about this site on CNN.com--& it sounded interesting, so I thought I\'d check it out. Currently I\'m only looking for friendship/conversation/e-mail correspondence...but that could always change. I\'d always kind of wished I\'d married a farmer when I was younger. I did not grow up on a farm myself, but my family had 5 acres that were surrounded by farms, & we often had cows, horses, & various other animals show up in our yard. :) I should say that I\'m a bit of a paradox here---I love the privacy & beauty of country living--but at the same time I\'m a big wimp when it comes to insects, especially bees & wasps. Also, because I\'m an animal lover, I think any farm that I owned or lived on would have to be limited to dairy, eggs, & vegetables---simply because I couldn\'t stand to slaughter or even send any animal to be killed--especially after I \"knew\" it personally & had a hand in raising it. I\'m not a vegetarian, however.....go figure. :) I tend to collect stray animals---when my kids (twins) were younger (they are 19 now) they\'d bring home all sorts--birds, rabbits, cats, etc. All our pets have been strays or unwanted \"rescues\"--currently we have 2 cats & a Siberian Husky. All of this while living in a small apartment!! The cats don\'t mind of course, but I feel a little bad for the Husky, because I know he\'d love wide open spaces where he could run & chase rabbits & squirrels to his heart\'s content. I guess I\'d be happy just with a few acres; room for animals & a nice garden.......just a dream right now though. I am probably a little spoiled by the convenience of living *close* to a big city & suburbs....but it\'s just too darn crowded & expensive.

As far as a friend or \"match\", let\'s say---I\'m not worried too much about looks, but I do value honesty, kindness, intelligence, compassion, humor, & most importantly, faith. A man who truly lives his Christian faith--not just talks about it. He needs to \"walk the walk\" as they say. I currently do not have a church home, but used to attend, & would still like to attend, an Assembly of God church. It would be wonderful to have someone to share this with.
