I'm a spontaneous, intuitive nonconforming free spirit who smiles readily and loves to laugh (often told my laugh is contagious). Playful, youthful, passionate & affectionate; my spiritual needs are best met in the natural world - the wilder the better. I'm an insatiably curious lifelong learner and independent thinker; fully engaged in my community, wherever I roam. I speak up on behalf of my beliefs, even when my voice shakes, especially on behalf of those less able. Possess an insatiable commitment to giving back; committed to ever shrinking my economic & ecological footprint (they're deeply interconnected). Lifelong animal lover, I became vegetarian as a teen, while reading Peter Singer's "Animal Factories". I actively source local, sustainably produced foods as direct from the producer as possible (CSA, farmers' market). Am very active, live & work in a small downtown walkable coastal community. I'm left-handed, the 4th child of six. Parents are French Canadian (mother) and Irish, Manx, Scottish (father). I'm downwardly mobile - striving to reduce resource consumption to a level that can be equitably & sustainably shared. Always seeking others on a similar path, as my lifestyle choices tend to marginalize me. Moved to Maine nearly 5+ years ago, the least populated state I've ever lived in, which is really nice but it makes it that much more difficult to meet single middle-aged men!
