I am leaving the country for a couple weeks, and my membership will expire during my absence. Just so nobody thinks I am being rude for not answering your emails.

How does one self-describe without sounding self-centered?

First off, I am not a Barbie Doll, a Girly-Girl, and have not been to a beauty salon since my high school prom. However, I do clean up rather nicely and am comfortable in jeans or a dress. But, there is a bit of tom-boy in me since I was primarily raised by my rough and tumble Dad.

I've survived more in almost 59 years than most people see in a lifetime. And I'm still smiling and have my sleeves rolled up for whatever test tomorrow holds.

I am a country gal. Sorry, just can't help myself. You're more apt to find me in the barn than in the laundry room...well, unless you're changing clothes! (ooops!) Have a great sense of humor...I must to be almost intact after almost 59 years!

Am an animal and nature lover. God has created such beauty and wonder all around us...how can we not see the miracle in the simple things, such as the turning of the leaves in autumn...or the birth of a foal, or the helplessness of a brand new kitten? I do my best to leave the smallest footprint possible as I pass through this life.

I love the country; the smell of newly mowed grass, or hay. Am not afraid of hard work, of getting dirty, of sweating, yes, I sweat, I do not perspire. Not much for going out, but much prefer to snuggle beside the fire pit with a good movie, a glass of wine, or instead of the movie, talk about nothing and everything while we stargaze.

Love to garden, can, not so much for cooking, can muddle my way through and put out a nice meal, though, but love to bake! Have been learning about organic gardening, and beneficial insects. I love to learn, always have my nose in a book, the computer, or asking How Does That Work, or What Does That Do.

I'm happy, usually upbeat and optimistic. Am a survivalist at heart...the stories I can tell! Definitely low maintenance.

Saturday morning cartoons...Road Runner, Bugs, Daffy...yup, I'm a Boomer and grew up with the Loony Tunes. Quiet evenings at home, watching TV, or snuggled by the fire, or playing footsies with each other while we read.

Professionally, I am an Internet Marketer, a professional caregiver, )C.N.A.) Hospice caregiver volunteer, and American Cancer Society volunteer.

I will walk beside you; defend your honor; support your decisions; take care of you when you are ill; treat you with respect, love you completely, and will even pick up your dirty socks. Well, okay, I might grumble at you a little bit for that last one.

Arguing is not an option. Walk away, cool down, then we can laugh at ourselves and remember that no matter what, love wins, so we win. No harsh words as they cannot be taken back and leave a mark forever.

I don't need to come with an Owner's Manual. Show me you love me with a hug and a kiss, and I'll smile the entire day. Don't forget to kiss me good-bye; want to snuggle with me every now and again; want to make love to me more than once a year; and have joy in your eyes when you look at me.

Currently, I do not have a horse; my old friend passed on to a place where he can run and play and kick up his heels all the time. I would love to get back in the saddle again. I have not searched out another because I can't quite bring myself to putting a different horse in 'his' stall. I've been looking at Gypsy Vanners...so beautiful and have such heart! But, the horse waits until the dust clears and my life is stable once again.
