Well...Hi there. Glad to see there is a place to meet like minded people out here.
I live and work on my families century plus homestead farm and ranch with my father. He is a very lucky man. After surviving a kidney transplant 11 years ago he worked by himself up here in Cloverland. I decided to come home 5 years. He was so fortunate to have three girls and I am the one who came back to keep the legacy alive.
Although, I had to run around the country for a bit though to see what I didn't want to do. Summing up city life is easy. I could never get tired working behind a desk. Just not what I was used to doing. No workout, and the long nails cost way to much. Enough of my humor. Basically I am my dad's laborer. This time of year we are getting the cattle ready to take to summer pasture. We run 100+ pairs of black Angus cattle, 360 acres of alfalfa, broome hay, and roughly 300 acres of rotating soft white wheat.
Currently I am spraying weeds. Trying to get rid to the thistles early so I don't have a heart attack fighting with the rattle snakes for them. Last year 12 rattle snakes thought they were for them. I won though. They all died. lol
Hay making starts soon. I have moved up to raking hay.
Just trying to find someone whom I have something in common with. Where I live I am the only woman farmer. It is so strange. Kinda would like someone to share it with.
I am my dads beck and call girl. Run all over the place on the 4 wheeler. If it isn't a part is is oil or gas. Hopefully you know what I mean. I am the main fence builder. I enjoy it.

I love to get down and dirty...love the outdoors...pretty much only in doors to get lunch, cook dinner, and sleep.
I am a animated gal. Always trying to figure out how to make the work fun...Dad has come to really like the uplifting side of the down sides that come along. Everything time we break down I learn something. To me that is how ya learn.
Well...there is much, much more to this lady. All ya got to do is ask. Look forward to talking to ya and learning what I can. You ??? can teach me alot. And...I imagine I could teach you a thing or two also.
The pic of me holding the baby is my nephew. Just thought that would be a good example of working a full day raking or hauling hay. I forget which it was that day. But that is an average work day look for me. Or the pic in the baseball cap.
