Seeking short or long term rider for rescued warhorse. He is a decorated veteran of extended campaign:armistice has been signed. This warhorse requires a gentle-handed, confident, strong rider, level of experience is not a factor; however, a mature rider will most likely be able to understand, appreciate and utilize the horse to his full potential. This is not a pleasure horse but can be taken for trips to the city, but most adapted to wide open spaces. This horse has demonstrated neither inclination to back down from a challenge nor a fight and in the heat of battle will protect the rider(or die trying). This horse is extremely spiritual, passionate, and dependable and may even have a touch of romanticism(admittedly there is a difference between interpretation and articulation as to what really is meant by romantic--none the less he tries and encouragement goes along way). This animal has a full and multifaceted personality, gutsy to guttural, sensitive to domineering, playful, teasing and jovial to intense, goal-oriented with sporadic myopia, protective not controlling. In other words, the gentleness and strength of a plow horse, the dapper and character of a carriage horse, all packed into a spirited and (positively) aggressive Charger. This individual has a good heart, full of compassion, enjoys nuzzling, snuggling and a carrot now and then(positively and absolutely responds to cinnamon rolls without raisins)all the while having unfettered and total devotion and loyalty for just one rider at a time. This horse desires companionship, compassion and understanding and is capable of retuning the same. While he is house broke, may need some retraining since he has been rider less for a period of time.
