Being widowed for 10 years and all of my eight children are almost grown, I feel it is time for me to live again for me. I was raised on a farm in Southern Ontario, the area has been taken over by heavy industry and am currently living in the Peterbrough area.
I have two children still at home, the youngest being 18. We are very active in our little country church that is located in the Cavan Hills. I teach Sunday School and sometimes am too involved with committees, but my family knows where I am. Every Tuesday during the fall and winter we have family dinner at the church and my family usually does the cooking.
I am trying to make a difference in the world but sometimes it seems like things are going backwards instead of forwards. God must shake his head at the mess we make of his creation.
I am presently a support worker for a gal with Downs Syndrome and also working with seniors. I am very disturbed that it is so easy to place our elders in warehouses to die. And I see my friends doing it to their parents, or wanting too because they are too time consuming.
I am looking for a gentleman who shares my values. Who will love and respect me for who I am and not try to change me into being who they want me to be. And it goes without saying, family is very important to me. I am a huge package deal 8 children and 6 grandchildren. There is always room for one more or two or three...
