I grow fruits and vegetables in my back yard for an 8-household CSA but after my daughter graduates from high school next year I would like to do a similar venture on a bigger scale. I have a Master's degree in Agriculture from Cal Poly Pomona and I worked in the orchards and vegetable fields there for 3 summers. I work as a high school biology teacher currently to earn a living.
I am a Mennonite Christian, favoring peace and justice, simplicity and community. I am introverted, meaning I get my energy from being alone or being outdoors, but I like being with people, too. I am very much an outdoors person, especially enjoying hiking and gardening, but also water activities. I hike frequently in the mountains near my home. I also like to travel, cook, read and see an occasional movie.
