My work involves engineering consulting so I\'ve been living in around Houston, Texas for most of my life. But I hope to make a change to a more rural lifestyle soon. I loved Idaho when I traveled up there this summer, it felt like being home again.
I like old Camaros, and have two of those cluttering up the garage. And I have useless animals living in my house: Crash, an insane Triton Cockatoo; and Kittikarma, he\'s pretty nuts too. And errant raccoons on the back porch who need feeding every now and then. I like raccoons, they\'re cool critters.
I\'m pretty handy with tools. I used to do home inspections, so I know a lot about house issues. There\'s this one fantasy that\'s been knocking about in me brain lately; cashing out the business, buying some land and spending the next year or so building my own off-the-grid house.
Or moving into one that somebody else has already built wouldn\'t be too bad either, lol.
I also have things for ham radios and old shortwave radios and wood radios from the 1930s. I don\'t tinker with them as much now as I used to.
Of course I\'ve been collecting a lot of guns and investing in lead greatly this past year. Get \'em while you can.
I love traveling to Ireland, can\'t get enough of the place. Irish and Scottish music is so great, especially with either guitar or bagpipes. Danu and Lunasa and Grada are all great Irish bands. There\'s really just too many great musicians to list. I hope to be able to continue going overseas, but it\'s not a necessity.
But even in Ireland, the difference between city and country folk was pretty pronounced. It\'s neat getting to travel and see things like that.
