I'm a nice, hard working guy that enjoys living the country life and have been raised on a farm since childhood. Working a full time job and being a partner in a grain farming business keeps me pretty busy in the peak times of the farming season, but I am able to find time for my hobbies as well when things slow down a bit. Flying small airplanes is my favorite, plus many outdoor activities as well such as ice fishing, snowmobiling, and camping. I enjoy the occassional trip to the Twin Cities as well to take in concerts and sporting events. Traveling to other areas is one of my favorites, too. The Rockies of the west seem to be a constant lure for me in the summer and have been there several times over the years and I am currently planning a fly-in camping trip to Idaho with pilot friends from my area. I have been to Alaska before and would love to go back there as well. Florida, California, Mexico, and Jamaica have been favorite destinations in the winter months.

I am great with kids and have been involved in a local mentoring program for the past several years. Many of these kids fall in the at-risk category, so I feel my time with them is worth the effort to help them through their struggles, point them in the right direction, and show them that they can succeed in life if they put their mind to it and put forth the effort. As with any relationship, honesty and communication are very important in a successful mentorship.
