About svenpihl:
I do my best to be responsible, live in a sustainable manner, and reduce my footprint on the Earth. I am joyful, grounded and centered (yoga and meditation). I am pretty much an autodidact, have some college education and will be enrolling again shortly. I believe myself to be educated, intelligent, and articulate. I feel that I am communicative, respectful, warm, caring, and loving. I’m giving to and of myself. I love doing all things outside especially hiking, backpacking and camping, and mountain biking. I enjoy vegetable gardening because I am communing with nature and to provide myself with fresh organic foods. I like perusing Farmer’s Markets and tag sales. I enjoy cooking and want to learn (inaptly named term) “Artisan” cooking such as creating hearty breads, pasta, and homemade wine, preservation such as canning and pickling, as well as crafts. I like long walks with my dog, roller blading, kayaking (I’m halfway through building one), canoing, motorcycling, and trips to NYC. I enjoy natural history museums and Cirque Du Soleil. I, with arm open arms, welcome the day with a cup of coffee outside while watching the sun rise and on occasion a Margarita while watching the sun set. I don’t do the club scene, but I like to go to a lounge or tavern once in a while and listen to live music and dance.
I like to think of myself as worldly, not so much based on travel, but rather as believing that “all” others are my neighbors. There is so much to be re-learned by indigenousness and foreign cultures. We here have mostly forgotten our roots as supposedly socialized and civilized humans, including the work and knowledge involved in being healthy and having healthy lifestyles (including how our actions affect others around the world). We have also forgotten how to interact and work together. What ever happened to “It takes a village” or acknowledging passing another person with a “Hello”? I have traveled a little, am Canadian and have lived here most of my life. I look at travel as an adventure in understanding not only people but also their connection to the land. Europe interests me a lot, since they, for a while now have been living within a rather Socialist political structure and practice sustainable living. Though Socialism interests me, many other cultures can compliment and expand upon this by adding their own social and agricultural experience and expertise.
I am interested in personal farming, Food Coop’s, CSA’s, community gardens and organic vegetable gardening, and guerrilla farming (urban). I like to eat fresh organic food that I grew myself than rather than some food product that has been chemically sprayed, inorganically fertilized, traveled hundred or thousands of miles then only to be processed by some mega corporation. They do not have my best interest or health in mind, only their financial bottom line. Eventually, I would like to teach others to do the same; to be far more self sufficient.
- Seeking a: Woman
- Ages: 26 to 44
- Height: 4'0"(122cm) to 7'7"(230cm)
- Smoker: - Any -
- Preferred body type: Athletic
My ideal match would be a woman that both shares a vision of self sufficiency as well as a love for the great outdoors. This potential life partner should be caring, giving, daring, playful, compassionate, loyal, confident, intelligent, and considerate to themselves, me, and others. I’d prefer if she was in shape and athletic, as I am very active. She should loving being and doing things outdoors. That is definitely very important. She should be able to gently laugh at herself. She should love animals and respect the Earth. She should be open minded, and find interest in and beauty in different ethnicities and cultures.
If you have kids, that is ok, but I do worry about them a lot. Children are fragile, our future, and I wouldn’t want anything that we do as adults to negatively affect them.
