I\'m a confident woman who wants to share the joys and trials of life with another. I have my Master\'s degree in Opera Performance and am currently pursuing auditions and lessons when not working my full-time job. I have a large garden, am a member of a Community Supported Agriculture group, a member of the Farm Bureau and a daughter and grand-daughter to farmers.
I\'m seeking a man who is ready to play devil\'s advocate, sensual lover, fun boyfriend, best friend, secret confidant, handyman and father (with our kids, I currently do not have any!). I want a man who embraces life passionately and without abandon but wants a Bonnie to his Clyde, a peanut butter to his jelly and a Mary Hatch to his George Bailey.
Some things I enjoy:
Music: Crooners...Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby Opera...Verdi, Puccini, Menotti Celtic Rock... Enter the Haggis, Flogging Molly
I like a lot of international music-- not a specific genre. I like to hear how other cultures express themselves through music. I also have a soft spot for country music, especially when on a road trip.
Books: Storey\'s Basic Country Skills, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Botany of Desire, In Defense of Food, The Alchemist
Authors: Wislawa Szymborska, Rumi, Pablo Neruda
Movies: Immortal Beloved, Gran Torino, National Lampoon\'s Christmas Vacation, La Dolce Vita, Pan\'s Labyrinth, The Prize Winner of Defiance, OH, Amadeus, Caddyshack, Amelie, Uncle Buck, The Red Violin, Out of Africa, Life Is Beautiful, What Dreams May Come, Tommy Boy, Spies Like Us, Back to School, The Notebook, The Great Escape, Farinelli, Schindler\'s List, Impromptu, Dr. Strangelove, The Pianist, Groundhog Day
Food: I\'m a big fan of Indian and Thai food. One of my favorite hobbies is to find cullinary gems of the inexpensive variety. However, when I cook I tend to lean towards a varied repertoire of both comfort foods and new recipes. Lately, I have been focusing on being more aware of my meals\' origins. I joined a CSA for the first time this year and am enjoying using local produce in my recipes.
