I believe we should live for a cause bigger than ourselves and our own comfort zones. The most effective enemy of good is not evil, but ease, and a perception of comfort/security. PERSONAL responsibility is the best tool of goodness.
I am very committed in my convictions and beliefs.
Christian, but not religious (there is a BIG difference).
Being a Christian is what gives direction and purpose to my life. In fact, it\'s what gives me life. I have been blessed by God so much that it staggers me sometimes. He\'s VERY REAL and He has shown Me His love. Jesus truly is the way, the truth and the life! I know the difference between religion and a relationship with God. I am absolutely not \"religious\" like many christians, but my faith is real and it\'s obvious.
I’m easy to get to know.
Life is not always fun, but it is always there for us to live. So many people just exist. I LIVE!
I am 53 years old now, and I still feel like I\'m in my 30s most of the time. Despite 33 bone breaks and several wounds, I stay in good shape so I can live each day as if it was the last day I may ever have (it may be....for us all) and I want to experience whatever good I can, and do what ever good I can, to help someone else in their \"climb up the mountain\". I have been a US Marine, a survival instructor, a hunting guide, a combat tactics instructor, rock and ice climber, gunsmith, and a lay-minister. Life is to LIVE, not just to exist.
I got saved in Law School. I was studying the Bible for its historical influence on the Common Law. I found what I was looking for was in that Bible and it always had been. It was not in the thousands of books in the law library. But, I also found after I had studied the Bible from a historical, archeological, an anthropological and from economic stand points, that what most \"religions\" try to tell us it says, IT DOESN\'T SAY, and what it does say, most religions DON\'T TELL US IT SAYS!
Religions are man made systems. Faith is from God. The 2 can intermix, but they surely don\'t have to, and in most cases they don\'t. If you doubt that, think of the fact that most Muslims are far more dedicated to their beliefs than most so-called \'christians\' , but their strongest religious beliefs doesn\'t make them right. Truth is not bendable to what we wish it was. Integrity is the process of bending our wills and lives to parallel the truth.
At one time most men thought the earth was flat, but all the belief in the world at that time would not flatten it out!
Truth is not something we can change with out beliefs. Therefore what is necessary is to change out beliefs to mirror truth.
