Time and distance meant nothing

I was recently divorced, after being married 28 years. My best friend kept telling me that I needed to get out and meet people. She jokingly told me that she was going to create a dating profile for me, if I didn't give it a try. I finally gave in. I was born and raised on a horse/cattle farm and grew up in the farm equipment business. With my history, FarmersOnly caught my eye. I created a profile. After several months of casual dating, I decided this wasn't for me. One Sunday afternoon, I was bored and decided to try again.

On Tuesday, February 16, 2016 I received a message from a very kind man who lived in Mount Airy, North Carolina. I read his message and immediately disregarded it. That was too far away for me (I lived in Georgia). On Wednesday, February 17th, he sent another message, telling me Good Morning and that he hoped I had a good day. I didn't want to be rude, so I responded, thanking him and wishing him the same. He continued messaging me throughout the day on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, he asked if he could call me that evening. I said sure. I lost count of the number of hours we talked on the phone that Friday night.

He had also given Farmers Only one more shot and extended his radius, and that's how he found me. He laughed and told me that I might just get to liking him and if so, he would drive to Georgia and take me out to eat. We discussed meeting in person sometime within the next couple of months. Before the week was out, sight unseen, we had already decided that we were meant for each other....we were already planning our wedding before we met! Without hesitation, he told me that his plan was for us to live in Georgia. On Friday, February 26th, we met in person for the first time. We both drove 2+ hours each to meet half way. We spent the weekend together as if we had known each other our entire lives....EVERYTHING felt right from the beginning. We weren't strangers....I felt as if I had known him my entire life.

The following weekend, he made the trip to Georgia to meet my family. On Saturday, May 5, 2016, we went to visit my Daddy. He asked my Daddy's permission for my hand in marriage! (I was 48 Years old!) This really stole my heart! We went back to my house and he immediately pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him! Of course I SAID YES! On April 15th he moved to Georgia! We were married on April 25, 2016 on the beach at North Myrtle. The only ones present were our kids and grandkids. We announced our marriage via Facebook! We just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary and I love that man more and more everyday!

I could not imagine my life without him! Thanks to FarmersOnly, I found my soulmate, the man I am meant to spend the rest of my life with. When you meet "THE ONE" time and distance mean nothing. We talked, met and were married, all within 10 weeks! Responding to that message was the best decision I ever made in my life. - Tim & Melinda
