They "Just Knew"

So here we are, writing a success story after just a few months of knowing one another. Mark and I met on FarmersOnly. I’m a farmer, full-time with my dad. I’m also an accomplished model, actress, and published scientific researcher. Farmers have varying backgrounds, and I wish more people could see that we know how to dress and have all of our teeth. I came back to the farm because no one else is here to take over; I’ve farmed all my life, even during the other careers. I decided to get onto FarmersOnly, frankly, because, well... why not? I didn’t have anything to lose, and thought it would be nice to meet someone else with like-minded interests, and hopefully find a man who is more manly than myself. I’ve always been the man in the relationship, simply because I grew up performing more male-oriented tasks. I was on FarmersOnly for maybe a few weeks, decided to meet up with Mark. He has a “hobby farm” in Rolla, MO. We met halfway in St. Louis (I’m from Winchester, IL) and we had the best first date we’ve ever had with anyone.

We knew, on our first date, that we were “the one” for one another. We couldn’t wait to see each other again, and have been inseparable ever since. We told each other that we loved one another on our third date. I’m 35, & Mark is turning 40 in a couple of weeks. We met the female/male versions of ourselves. We are exactly alike, and not related, which is a huge plus. ;) We are both vey sarcastic, and massive goofballs. We have never been married before, and made of people who said there was such a thing as a “soulmate.” Well, we were wrong, there is a such a thing. Mark and I were made for one another.

We were already discussing getting married, something happened in the family, and we simply bumped up our plans to tie the knot. We got married June 8, 2019. It doesn’t seem like it’s only been since the middle of January this year, but when you know, you know. We joke that we are those old people that talk about theday they met their match and that they “just knew.”He proposed to me, in one of my cattle pastures, on the site where we will be building our home.Mark and I both owe you a huge “thank you” because we found one another. So thank you. - Jenny
