I have been a single mother of a wonderful, now 19yr old daughter, since I was 33yrs old and what a glorious trip it has been. I believe in taking care of relationships with family and friends, and that those two groups of people are the most important assets in life, other than our personal relationship with the Lord, through Jesus His son, led by the direction of and leaning on the Holy Spirit. What an exciting life it is! I am stepping back, so-to-speak, to find a simpler place from which I can more fully and completely enjoy this life. Downsizing and leaving behind the many tangible things which encumber and clutter our mind and confuse our hearts as to what is truly important.
Therefore, here I am, moving towards planting and harvesting my own food, dehydrating and canning to see if I can make it through to the following planting season and challenging myself to find more sustainable ways to live and do so more simply. Using more herbs in every day cooking for daily medicine and healthful bodies has also become intriguing. I thoroughly enjoy nature, camping, hiking fishing, would like to learn to hunt with gun and bow, I enjoy traveling (domestically and internationally) but mostly to the rural areas or cities where culture abounds. I am a good cook of a variety of types of food, from simple American, excellent Mexican (a few other Central and South American cuisines as well), and aromatic Indian and Asian. I have a great sense of humor and love to laugh, even at myself!
My background includes 18 years in banking (real estate and business lending) and 14 years working on behalf of orphaned children. Although I have a full-time job working to promote family based care for orphaned children, I am also working to establish a few other cash flow avenues which will give me more flexibility, and which can be achieved from anywhere or no- where with an occasional internet signal.
There is much more to learn about me and to enjoy ! If our friendship works easily, I am not opposed to working towards a long term relationship. I don't enjoy drama and strive to live a drama free life, at peace with myself and others.
