I enjoy the simple things in life, and also some of the nice things.

I am an artistic person, Loving Nature, Photography, Writing, History, Camping, Drawing, Playing and enjoying Music, and Building things, weather a small toy, a structure, or anything in between, I have been blessed with the knowledge and ability to do such.

I Grew up in East-Central Minnesota, but spent a couple years working in each Montana, North Dakota and Iowa, before my RR employment brought me home to Minnesota. I much prefer the wide open spaces of the Prairie and Mountains, than the populated area near the larger cities. The Area around Glacier National Park has always been one of my favorite locations, since I first Visited as a kid, on our families "Big Vacation" to Montana, and into Canada to visit relatives, and then back to Minnesota.

I'm very interested in Organic, alternative and Sustainable Agriculture.

I'm for conservation and preservation, both natural and historic (Environment and structurally) Less is usually better (comes from my Swedish & German heritage), but having that farmers inventory of items for a rainy day is also a good thing. I regularly recycle, rebuild and re-purpose items.

Ever heard of Straw Bale construction? a recently re-discovered building material, with great insulating properties. Oh the things we can learn from our elders, especially those Like my father, that was born and raised in the depression.

I have 2 sons, but due to life's difficult situations they don't live with me, I hope and pray that someday they will. I hope to eventually have more kids, with the right woman, Kids are great.

Unfortunately in the last couple years, life has been rough. I was involved in an auto accident, and suffered a serious back injury. Much time has been spent recovering, but It'll never be the same. Thank God for family & Friends, both in person, and online, these friends are wonderful.

I bought a farmstead near a very small Southern MN town a couple years ago, because I didn't want to live too close to the hustle, bustle & Noise of the Twin Cities. I'm slowly working on fixing up the place, but it would be a lot easier and more productive if I had a partner lending a helping hand.

A couple of my interests are researching RR history, and Minneapolis-Moline History. It is so nice now with internet you can use google or yahoo searchs for so much research, that only 15 years ago, was not possible, of course you still have to double check source info for accuracy, but it's a great lead. At some point, I'll have a couple books together on these histories, so far I've had several articles and photos published in a few Railroad books and Magazines, what a great feeling, you can search majmm164 for some examples. I love going to Antique Tractor Shows & Auctions when I can, real Auction, farm sales not the sit on a chair in an Auction house with a paddle :P Who wants to go to some Old Tractor Shows?
