Right now I’m in the process of rebuilding my home & small farm. I have chickens, turkey, guinea, and quail. I’m a beekeeper, currently with 2 working hives, and more on the way this spring. I started an orchard last year, planted a lot of fruit & nut trees. This year I have ordered more fruit trees & berry bushes to add to the orchard. I’m working hard to get perennial food crops in place for myself and as an extra income. I look at my farm as a way to feed myself & bring in an extra income. It’s not just a hobby for me, it’s a way of life.

I enjoy sewing, quilting, cooking, canning, dehydrating, gardening, and saving heirloom seeds. I love animals of all kinds. I’m not high maintenance, but I can go from cleaning out the barn to putting on a dress & high heels. I’m laid back, enjoy life, love to laugh and I don’t stress the small stuff. I don’t try to changes things or people that I have no control over. I mind my own business and I’m always there when a friend is in need. I try to recycle and re-use as much as possible. I’m not a health fanatic, but I do try to eat healthy foods.

A little about me: I’ve been married twice, divorced going on 7 years. I have one grown son by first marriage, and a son & daughter from my second marriage. The last two children are still at home (17 & 14) and I have shared custody. I go to church as much as my job allows. I don’t smoke and I rarely drink. I’m not a party girl, I’m more of a home body. I would rather cook at home, invite over some friends and sit around the kitchen table playing games or talking. I love listening to music & watching movies. Most of my reading is gardening or farming related. I don’t have any debt, I live very modestly, and try to pay cash as I go.

My dreams for my farm are to build a green house, root cellar, add solar & wind power, build a smoke house and fix a lily/water garden. I love growing things, so having my place beautifully landscaped is high on my list. I would eventually like to build a building with a little store in front to sell some of my extra produce & honey. And in the back of the building have an area to maintain my hives & wood shop, and to extract honey. I would love to build a small barn with a corral area and get a couple of goats to milk. A cow would be nice, but that would be too hard for me to maintain by myself.

I have found that I don’t need a man to survive. But I desire the companionship of a good man to share my life with. I don’t need to be married, but for the right man I could be persuaded. And for the right man, I would relocate.
